WHY AM I BLOGGING?
My name is Karisah, and I have depression. Yep, diagnosed and everything. I remember first feeling it when I moved to Flagstaff, Arizona when I was 14. I've been struggling with this for about eight years now. I started this blog to help others, and to give those with a mental illness a voice.
I want to share my ups and downs, my good days and bad days, and what it takes for me to overcome my mental illness on a day-to-day basis. I'm discovering a whole world of opportunities that I could take. But also realizing that overcoming my mental illness is something that I have to do everyday, for the rest of my life. And that sounds exhausting and painful.
But, my happiness is something that I can't put a price tag on. If I put out good vibes, I get good vibes, right? There has to be more to life than just following what everyone thinks I need in order to be happy. Maybe you'll find your happiness with me. Are you ready to be happy?

My Homemade Family
This is my best friend, my soulmate, my person. His name is Scott, and we've been together for a little over a year now! I moved here from Fort Worth last year to go to West Texas A&M. We met through an app, and we started off as friends. After a few months, we started dating. It only lasted, like, three months. We broke up over the summer, and I went back to Fort Worth. That summer I decided I wanted to live in Amarillo because I needed to be on my own. So, I got an apartment, a full-time job, and transferred to Amarillo College. We started hanging out, and just got better from there! I just wanted to say I love you, and thank you for all that you do for me!
